Jeremy Swanson

Jeremy Swanson is a wildlife conservation and international development expert with nearly 25 years of experience focusing primarily on East Africa. Swanson has served as a program director overseeing an environmental portfolio of $55 million and, most recently, he led a five-year transboundary natural resources management project in Zimbabwe. Having lived and worked extensively in Tanzania, Swanson is a trusted voice on conservation strategy and has contributed insights to global forums and media on the intersection of biodiversity protection and local development. His work emphasizes local leadership, data-driven approaches, and inclusive solutions that benefit both people and wildlife.

A former Fulbright scholar to Tanzania, Swanson earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in environmental policy from Cornell University. He, his wife, and three children love exploring wilderness areas around the world, including going hiking, camping, canoeing, birdwatching, and mammal watching.
