Yusuph B. Kaaya joined Tanzania People & Wildlife as the Finance and Administration Officer in January 2017. He brings more than five years of experience to this role, having held previous finance and administration positions with the Meru District Council, Mantis Company Limited, and Singita Grumeti Fund. Yusuph is responsible for financial, personnel, logistics, and general office management. Key tasks include budget development and monitoring, the creation of financial reports, monitoring the staff’s progress in achieving goals, and the development of operational guidelines to improve the organization’s efficiency. Yusuph earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce in accounting from the University of Dodoma in 2011. Apart from his interest in improving operational efficiency, Yusuph is particularly interested in the organization’s conflict resolution strategies that bring multiple stakeholders together around conservation.
